Access Control for the ‘home owner’ rarely goes beyond putting a key in a hole, but things are changing.

It is common in commercial buildings to have Access Control, they have a business to protect, well, you have a Home to protect, and now you too can benefit from the technology offered to the commercial sector.
Access to all can be, and is, a part of all Intercom system functions. Now Intercoms have become commonplace, home owners are wanting that additional benefit of controlling the door and automated Gate Access.

Lost keys, and the worry that comes with thinking who has them, getting new keys cut, then finding your original keys can be an annoying event.
Your children and your elderly parents losing keys also brings additional worry.
You might think that your door or locking method won’t accept the modern locking devices that are available. You may think you are not able to have the benefits of secure electronic locks, but you will be surprised what is now available.
Allowing access for deliveries, family members and Health Care workers can be complicated to arrange.
Opening your door and compromising your home security to a caller, especially at night, can be an anxious moment. Not knowing who and why they are calling is the same for your elderly parents and vulnerable family members.
We would never recommend having a code as a means of accessing your Main entrance to your home. Codes are fine for electric vehicle gates, side gates and maybe a porch, but are not secure for your main home entrance doors.
All our Home Access locks have their main control panel located inside the property. This keeps your Access Control secure, even if any external readers are damaged or removed.
An Intercom system allows you to talk and see a caller. Be aware, if the ‘Lock Release relay’ is part of the Intercom outside then this is not suitable and could allow unauthorised access to your home.
Finger Print readers, Proximity readers, Mobile phone and ‘smart keys’ are all secure methods, together with secure locking devices offering you control of your doors. Even UPVC and Composite doors can now have electronic ‘Multipoint’ locking to replace your current Multipoint lock release.
You can open doors, confirm they are locked and allow your door lock to be open for a timed period.
You can open your door from your Intercom, your Phone, and your Tablet, either when away or at home.
Automation of your entrance door allows secure access with Ease of Access especially for persons needing assisted living.
